Since over 70% of the human body is composed of water, it is important to consider the body’s hydration status when using the Bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) method to measure body fat percentage. Factors such as drinking excessive water before measurement, going to the bathroom, or engaging in intense exercise can greatly affect the measurement results.
To obtain more accurate measurements, please consider the following:
1. Do not eat or drink for at least 4 hours before measurement.
2. Avoid exercising for at least 12 hours before measurement.
3. Try to urinate before measurement.
4. Remove any metal objects from the body.
5. Keep hands and feet dry during measurement.
6. Measure at a fixed time and under consistent conditions every day.
