This product uses Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) to measure body fat content. The electrodes on the scale emit a small electrical current through the body for measurement. Different tissues in the body have different levels of resistance to the current (fat tissue has weaker conductivity). Therefore, the body analysis scale, along with preset equations and data such as gender, height, weight, and age, can measure and estimate parameters such as body water, fat percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, and BMR.
